Data Use

We conduct workshops to help staff develop skills in database creation and maintenance, data cleaning, and data analysis. These workshops often are followed by a writing workshop.

To address under-utilization of existing data for program decision making, we help countries find what data are available and determine whether more effective use is possible. Examples of such activities include the following:

  • Analyze an existing single source of data
  • Synthesize multiple sources of data for program planning
  • Use a Geographic Information System (GIS) and mapping
  • Develop a data analysis, use, and dissemination plan
  • Build capacity for future data analysis, use, and dissemination.
