    The Epidemiological Fact Sheets collate the most recent country-specific data on HIV prevalence and incidence, together with information on behavior determined to be important in understanding the epidemic.
  • UNAIDS/WHO Global HIV/AIDS Online Database
    The UNAIDS/WHO Global HIV/AIDS Online Database collates the most recent country-specific data on the spread and impact of the virus, together with information on risk behaviours (e.g. casual sex and condom use). Health sector response information (eg. data on people receiving treatment and coverage of hiv counselling and testing) is also an essential part of this database.

  • UNAIDS 2008 Report on the Global AIDS Epidemic
    UNAIDS publishes a new "Report on the global AIDS epidemic" every two years. The Report draws upon and publishes the best available data from countries and provides an overview and commentary on the epidemic and the international response.
  • 2008 Country Progress Reports on UNGASS Core Indicators:
    In adopting the 2001 Declaration of Commitment on HIV/AIDS, Member States committed themselves to regularly report on their progress in responding to HIV to the General Assembly. Member States are required to submit country progress reports to the UNAIDS Secretariat every two years. On this site you find the currently available 2008 progress reports submitted by countries.
  • US Census Bureau/USAID HIV/AIDS Surveillance Database:
    The concept of the HIV/AIDS Surveillance Data Base was developed at the U.S. Census Bureau in consultation with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), in 1987. The HIV/AIDS Surveillance Data Base contains studies appearing in the medical and scientific literature, presented at international conferences, reports, and appearing in the press.
  • UNICEF Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS)
    UNICEF assists countries in collecting and analyzing data in order to fill data gaps for monitoring the situation of children and women through its international household survey initiative the Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys (MICS).
  • Respondent-Driven Sampling (Cornell)
    Defines RDS and provides information on minimum data requirements, sampling references, intervention references, and downloads.
  • Time Location Sampling Resource Guide
    The Time Location Sampling (TLS) Resource Guide was prepared by the San Francisco Department of Public Health HIV Epidemiology Section, Behavioral Surveillance Unit. This manual is a systematic guide to conducting surveys using TLS and includes real examples, helpful forms, and tools.
