The HIV/AIDS Surveillance Report is published annually by the Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention, National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention, Coordinating Center for Infectious Diseases, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Atlanta, Georgia. Data included in this report are presented for cases of HIV infection and AIDS reported to CDC through June 2006.
Uganda STD/HIV/AIDS Surveillance Report, June 2003
This report is a compilation of information from all 45 districts and the programs and organizations working on HIV/AIDS-related diseases in Uganda. It focuses on data accruing from HIV sentinel surveillance, behavioral surveillance, AIDS case reporting, STD syndromic reporting, and tuberculosis morbidity reports. It also highlights findings from HIV/AIDS data from observations at the Medical Research Council and the AIDS Information Center.
National HIV Prevalence in Kenya
Each year the National AIDS and STD Control Programme (NASCOP) conducts sentinel surveillance for HIV infections at antenatal clinics throughout Kenya. In 2003, a national household survey (2003 KDHS) provided a good estimate of HIV prevalence in the adult population. This report describes the use of the sentinel surveillance data and the KDHS to estimate national prevalence in Kenya and the implications of that estimate for other indicators of interest, such as the number of people infected and the number of people in need of antiretroviral therapy.
HIV Sentinel Surveillance 2006 India Country Report
In India, HIV sentinel surveillance has been conducted annually since 1998 to track the HIV epidemic in the country. Generating high-quality HIV surveillance data has been a top priority for the National AIDS Control Programme. This report is prepared by the Indian National Institute of Health and Family Welfare and the National AIDS Control Organization.

This report provides an update on the epidemic and essential data on planning, resource allocation, advocacy, and HIV policy formulation, in addition to instruction on the design of prevention, behavior change, treatment, care, and support programs in Papua New Guinea.

This report includes data on prevalence of HIV, hepatitis C, and syphilis from high-risk groups in Azerbaijan, Republic of Moldova, and Russian Federation.
