 GH Clinical Scholars Program

Overview

Clinical Scholars 2007-2009
2007 Clinical Scholars Cohort

The Global Health Sciences Clinical Scholars Program (GHCSP) was established in 2006 to respond to a demand for an educational track by clinical trainees interested in bridging the global health gap. It is a training track for UCSF graduate healthcare professionals who wish to formally incorporate global health into their professional careers. The program is the first in the nation to include residents from different disciplines, and has expanded to include the schools of nursing and other health professional schools in the past year.

For more information or inquires about the program, contact Vaishali Patel.

Consortium for Global Health Residency Training

UCSF Global Health Sciences has recently convened a consortium of academic health centers across the United States to build the GHCSP into a national program and to expand training opportunities beyond residency. The members of the consortium are:

Johns Hopkins Center for Global Health
University of California, San Francisco Global Health Sciences
University of Pennsylvania Global Health Programs
University of Washington Department of Global Health

Additional information on the consortium's activities will be made available as it develops.
